Students will learn the basic skills of Taiko! Taiko (太鼓) is a Japanese word referring to both the traditional drums themselves and the art of drumming in Japan. This class will be a full-body interactive activity. Within the class, skills will be taught to enhance hand-eye coordination, musicality, Japanese vocabulary/terms, and more!
This class is meant for incoming students of 4th, 5th and 6th grade for the 2025-2026 school year.
Applications open on Monday, May 19th @ 7:30 pm PST
Location: East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center (ESGVJCC), 1203 W Puente Ave, West Covina, CA 91790
Time: Mondays from 6:30pm - 7 :30pm
First Day of Class: June 16th, 2025

Kishin Classes are $20 per month
Payment details will not be requested until a notice is sent for the student's acceptance into the class.
